What's new for the upcoming 2018 Subaru Crosstrek?

Looking for a good reason to invest in a Subaru Crosstrek in Milford? This compact crossover has long held top ranks in its class, but even the best can be improved. That's why Subaru is trying out something new on this family-friendly adventure vehicle -- the Subaru Global Platform.

This all-new architecture was rolled out on the 2017 Impreza. As you may know, the Crosstrek is based on the Impreza compact car, so we're not surprised to hear that the upcoming 2018 Crosstrek adopts this new foundation as well. It makes for a stiffer body and a 40 percent improvement in crash energy absorption over its predecessor. The center of gravity drops by 0.2 inches, and steering received a boost from Active Torque Vectoring. Sportiness is further enhanced by newly standard Subaru X Mode, a system that improves traction which was previously only available on the Forester and Outback. A quicker steering rack improves gearing ratio, while a new method for mounting the anti-roll bar reduces body roll by half.

We're eager to offer he upcoming 2018 Crosstrek to Milford area adventurers. Be sure to keep an eye on the Dan Perkins Subaru showroom, as it will certainly be front and center when it arrives in our dealership. Feel free to reach out to our staff for details, as well as visit our facility to try the current-reigning 2017 Crosstrek on for size in the meantime.
