Every year ALG, the analytics division of TrueCar Inc., announces its Top Mainstream Brand for Residual Value awards and, for the sixth time, Subaru of America Inc. has been honored with this prestigious title. Not only did Subaru win the overall award, but five of their models won in their divisions as well.
- Subaru Impreza - Best Compact Car
- Subaru WRX - Best Sports Car
- Subaru Forester - Best Compact Utility Vehicle
- Subaru Crosstrek - Best Subcompact Utility Vehicle
- Subaru Outback - Best Midsize Utility Vehicle - Two Rows
The ALG Residual Value Awards are given to the vehicles and brands that are anticipated to keep their overall value throughout a three-year timeframe. This means that these five models, and the other vehicles within the Subaru brand, are expected to earn less depreciation over three years than other brands and models.
Thomas J. Doll, the president and COO of Subaru of America Inc. stated, "These awards underscore our commitment to providing customers with vehicles made to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and dependability." Jim Nguyen, president of ALG agreed that Subaru continues to raise the bar higher for other brands out there. He even commented, "Consistent product execution and practical sales strategies have resulted in three consecutive years of Residual Value Award wins for the Subaru band."
