Compare the 2024 Forester vs. 2024 Toyota RAV4
Dan Perkins Subaru Compares the 2024 Subaru Forester vs. 2024 Toyota RAV4
The Subaru Forester is a five-seat SUV with plenty of space for people and cargo. It comes with plenty of off-road-ready features like standard Symmetrical All-wheel Drive and all the modern features you need to stay connected and entertained no matter how long the drive. There are a lot of competitors on the market for similarly-sized SUVs, like the Toyota RAV4, but our team at Dan Perkins Subaru breaks down the impressive list of standard features to show you why the Subaru Forester is the better choice.

Exceptional Safety Standards & Performance
Every Subaru Forester comes equipped with the Subaru EyeSight® Suite of advanced safety and driver assistance features. The system includes high-tech aids like automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. The Toyota RAV4 offers similar features, but the overall lower cost of the Subaru Forester makes these conveniences an even better bargain.
The Subaru Forester is generously equipped to handle New England weather with standard all-wheel drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance. While the Toyota RAV4 has a similarly sized 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine, it doesn't have standard all-wheel drive and has less room for error with a lower ground clearance. The Subaru Forester also has a larger 16.6-gallon fuel tank, so you can go further and enjoy fewer fill-ups at the gas station.
Cargo Capacity
The Subaru Forester has a generous cargo hold. Although the rear cargo hold in the Forester is slightly smaller than the RAV4 by about ten cubic-feet, the available space allows for greater passenger volume. That means more headroom, shoulder room, and leg room for adult passengers to utilize the back row more comfortably over long trips.

More Standard Features
The Subaru Forester comes with similar convenience features as the RAV4. However, you'll get more of the same features for less, like standard roof rails for overhead storage and a panoramic moonroof on all but the base model. You don't have to go far up the trim level ladder to enjoy premium features like larger wheels, power adjustable driver's seat, reclining rear seatbacks, onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, and a superb audio system.
